Using a guide for every dental implant case can be costly. This is one of several reasons why approximately 95 percent of dental implant surgeries are performed without a guide. And in 2014, the American Dental Association released a study citing that out of 922 implants placed across 87 different practices, 18.7 percent of implants placed were classified as failures! This did not including implants that could have been placed more optimally!
